How do you know the money gets to the producer?
In most cases Traidcraft has a direct relationship with the producers or their representative organisations. This enables us to check that they are satisfied with the way the trading relationship develops.
Where we buy through intermediaries (usually other fair trade organisations), external groups like the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation (FLO) and the International Fair Trade Association (IFAT) monitor standards and we have close partner relationships with some other fair trade organisations, such as members of EFTA.
