Why sell fair trade in your shop?
"It's difficult at the moment to balance hard financial decisions and ethical considerations, so we're really really pleased to hear that Traidcraft's great new discounts mean we can order Divine and Cafedirect products from a company whose mission is to tackle world poverty through trade. We'd choose to order from Traidcraft any time if the price is right, and now it is - long may it continue!!"
Jan Tucker, Fair Do's, Cardiff
More and more consumers are looking for ehtical options and buying fair trade is a guarantee to your customers that producer organisations received a fair and stable price for their products that covers their costs and enables them to support their families and invest in a better future.
With fair trade products fast on track to becoming a £500 million consumer market in the UK, there is an ever-increasing range of fair trade distribution opportunities available. 57% of the adult population can now identify the Fairtrade certification mark.
Why buy from Traidcraft?
We are doing everything we can to help and support our retail customers in what are difficult conditions for businesses everywhere. Unlike most suppliers, Traidcraft has actually increased some discounts for small shops and businesses this year and we have also lowered our free carriage threshold to only £50. We offer free support, advice and resources to help you advertise and raise awareness of your fair trade range and we can even offer the opportunity for your shop to appear free of charge on our stockist map, so new customers can find you.
Traidcraft sells the largest range of fairly traded food and crafts in the UK.
We have more than 450 different products sourced from more than 100 producer groups in almost 30 developing countries.
We go the extra mile to support our producers.
We provide credit when needed to allow orders to be fulfilled and pay premiums to be used to provide further benefits to producer communities.
We encourage the fair treatment of all workers, ensuring good conditions in the workplace and throughout the supply chain. We aim to build up long-term relationships, rather than looking for short-term commercial advantage. Find out more about how we support our producers.
