‘From Fairtrade to Trade Justice’ event

On 4th February 2012 we ran an afternoon of workshops and talks about Traidcraft’s campaigning.

Thank you to everyone that came (nearly 200 people!) and made the event such an inspiring, informative and fun day!

Some of the highlights included:

  • A Question and Answer session with Stephen Timms MP, a former Cabinet Minister and a Trustee of Traidcraft. Stephen revealed what a positive impression Traidcraft campaigners had made on him and emphasised the importance of lobbying MPs on trade justice issues.
  • Paul Spray, Traidcraft’s Director of Policy and Programmes, described Traidcraft’s work overseas and how our company and charity work together. His talk also featured a special guest appearance from our very own ‘President Obama’!
  • Composing rhymes for Valentines Day cards for MPs, asking them to show their love for a supermarkets watchdog.
  • The action-packed ‘Who wants to be a campaigner’ quiz which revealed some surprising facts about Traidcraft’s campaigning and the successes we have achieved together.

All the workshop materials and resources from the day are available to download below. Pictures from the event are available on our Flickr page.
