Make Poverty History

Traidcraft was among over 500 UK agencies, organisations, trades unions - and a host of celebrities - who joined forces in 2005 in the biggest ever global call to end poverty.

MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY challenged the values, practices and principles of a world where poverty kills 30,000 people every day, and where just 2% of the population own more than 50% of the world's wealth.

The campaign called for decisive action on: trade justice, aid, and the cancellation of poor countries' debts.
