What are you calling for?
The UK government introduced a new Company Law Reform Bill - which outlines how companies should behave. We called for the Bill to be amended to include several new clauses.
These were:
- a new clause which says Directors should be held accountable for the social and environmental impact of their company's activities
- more stringent requirements on reporting so companies are required to monitor and report on their social and environmental impacts
- a right of redress in UK courts for people overseas who are affected by the activities of a UK company.
