Can I fundraising online?
Yes, you can set up a personal online fundraising page with www.justgiving.com.
Find out more information on our online fundraising page.
When do I have to send in my sponsorship money?
We ask you to send in your sponsorship money as soon as possible after the event, and two months after the event at the latest.
If you have raised money online through JustGiving.com, the funds are transferred directly to Traidcraft Exchange. If you have raised all your funds through JustGiving, please let us know.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes. You will receive a thank you letter for your sponsorship within seven working days of receipt.
If you haven’t received a thank you letter within this time, please get in touch or check your bank statement to ensure that your sponsorship has arrived safely.
If you raised all your funds online, we will send you a thank you letter when your page stops accepting donations online, which is two months after the event takes place.
I have collected sponsorship money in cash. How shall I send this to you?
Please do not send cash through the post. You should pay this money into your personal bank account, or take it to your bank, and then send a cheque for the total amount, or call 0191 497 6445 to pay by credit or debit card.
When you send in your sponsorship money, please include your sponsorship forms so that we can claim Gift Aid, worth 28p for every £1 given.
It would also help if you could send the fundraising form at the back of the fundraising guide.
What is the money I raise used for?
All donations received support all of Traidcraft Exchange's work.
We currently have 17 projects in seven countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines.
Our current projects will directly benefit 350,000 people with a further 1.4 million indirectly benefiting.
