How your support helps
Handicrafts are a vital source of income for many Kenyans but sales of African handicrafts in the European market are declining and face stiff competition from Asia.
We are piloting an approach to promote African crafts in the UK mainstream market, by linking a Kenyan craft producer, Monda African Art, to a UK wholesaler. They will receive targeted support to enable them to meet the UK orders for their products, and these crafts will then be marketed under a producer-owned brand.

How to run the 2008 Great South Run with Traidcraft Exchange
- Register and download the entry form.
- Return a signed copy of the entry form to Traidcraft with £32 to guarantee your place and pledge to raise £200 for our vital development work overseas.
- We will send you an email to confirm your entry and your fundraising and training pack will follow within 10 working days.
Alternatively, you can secure your own place in the run at www.greatrun.org. If you secure your place directly, we’d still love you to join our team. Please fill the own place registration form and we will send you a fundraising and training pack. There is no minimum sponsorship if you have your own place - just please raise as much as you can.
