What do you do with your loose change? Why not help fight poverty by putting it in a Traidcraft collection box? When it's full, send us your donation. It’ll soon add up and will really make a difference.
In 2008-2009, over £2,800 was raised through Traidcraft Exchange collection boxes. This is from 81 supporters who sent in their loose change or collect any change that customers offer when selling Traidcraft products.
So why not have a loose change box in the house or on your desk at work? Or even a swear box for your colleagues!
Those extra pennies will soon be pounds and will help us to fight poverty. It really doesn't cost much to change a life!
The difference your donation could make
In Tanzania our BEE project is helping beekeepers to form groups, improve the quality of their honey and access new markets. Increased honey sales will provide vital income for beekeepers like Henry Mugao:
“I have been able to buy livestock to help with the ploughing ….if I get more money for my honey I will improve the house and make sure that my daughter continues to study.”
How to get a collection box
- Order online through the Traidcraft shop, ref: 50588. Colection boxes are free of charge.
- Call Customer Services on 0845 330 8900, and ask for ref: 50588.
- Or drop us an email at fundraising@traidcraft.co.uk and we will post one out to you.
How to send in your money
- Empty your collection box and count the change.
- Take this to the bank and pay it into your account.
- Send us a cheque for the amount, payable to "Traidcraft Exchange" and post it to Fundraising, Traidcraft Exchange, Kingsway, Gateshead, NE11 0NE.
