How your support helps

In Cambodia, our project working with social enterprises offers marginalised people the opportunity to be seen first and foremost for their ability, not their disability or social disadvantages. They are able to employ more disadvantaged producers and improve working conditions for existing employees.

Father-of-three Sry Chea knows how tough it can be for disabled people in Cambodia to find work. Thats why he now works training people with disabilities in woodcarving and handicraft production.

"For people in wheelchairs like me, finding work is not easy," he says. "It's important that I share my skills so that other disabled people can get jobs. My work here is important as I earn money and it's regular. Because of the co-operative, I have hope for the future. One day I would like to have a small house." Sry Chea

By taking part in this event and raising sponsorship you will enable us to continue developing projects like this one, so that more poor and marganialised people like Sry can earn a dignified living through trade.
