Prayer
Pray that, as the Church, we get our priorities right and focus on the things that God cares about. Pray for a groundswell passion for justice and mercy. As so many situations and demands compete for our attention, pray for the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to help us to make the right choices.
Pray for Traidcraft as we work with churches and faith groups to get the fair trade message across. There are still congregations out there who have not yet decided, either as individuals or collectively, to shop in a way that is fair to suppliers.
Give thanks for Back to Church Sunday, which Traidcraft supports, and for all the church-based fair trade stalls up and down the country. Remember those individuals who continue to be lone voices in their churches and who long to see their brothers and sisters start to consume more ethically.
Overseas
Please pray for our staff and our projects in Kenya, where the consequences of the unrest earlier this year are still affecting the lives and the livelihoods of producers. As we look to recruit new staff there, pray that here too, God will guide us in our choices.
Give thanks for the generosity of individuals and institutions whose funding makes the work of our charity possible, allowing us to extend the assistance we can offer producers.

J John will be here in the North East giving his "Just 10" talks over the next couple of months. It is hoped that thousands will pack the big top tents each week to hear his contemporary take on the Ten Commandments.
Pray for Traidcraft staff, whether they believe or not, that they would experience God's transforming power in their lives at these events.
