Information for donors

Traidcraft Exchange is the only international development charity in the UK focusing exclusively on trade.

Bangladeshi ladies

We have over 20 years' experience of managing and implementing large trade-focused projects across Africa and Asia, and are also widely known and respected for our trade-related policy and advocacy work in the UK and Europe.

How are we funded?

Although we are closely linked, Traidcraft Exchange is not funded by the profits of Traidcraft's trading company.

We could not carry out our policy work or our projects in Africa and Asia without the generous support of individuals, grant-making trusts and foundations, and other large grant-making bodies.

Why your money is important

We have now reached a crucial point in our activities. Our campaigning and lobbying against international trade policies and practices that harm the poor has highlighted the need for focused and educated advice on the issues that are facing millions of poor people worldwide.

Similarly, the success of our trade-related development projects across Asia and Africa has identified key areas of need where our support is desperately required.

However, with new areas in need of support comes further demand for resources, and in particular the need for us to be able to respond quickly, efficiently, and expertly wherever these needs arise.

Our current projects will directly benefit 350,000 people with a further 1.4 million indirectly benefiting. We want this figure to grow which is why, today more than ever, we need your support.
