Fair trade policy
Traidcraft is a fair trade company, selling fair trade products. In addition to our trading activities, however, we are also working at the cutting edge of developing new product certifications and helping to promote fair trade.
What is Traidcraft doing? We work in partnership with other fair trade organisations in the UK, Europe and internationally, and use our resources and experience to inform, lead and support best practice and policy developments within the fair trade movement. We also support the work of the Fair Trade Advocacy Office in Brussels, which monitors European and international trade and development policies, and develops political positions in the area of fair trade and trade justice. Traidcraft seeks to promote an understanding of fair trade issues amongst business leaders both to encourage large companies to purchase fairly traded goods and to highlight the connections between fair trade and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). |
