Business clients include: British American Tobacco (BAT) BAT wanted to develop a socially responsible response to tackle the social, economic and cultural elements that contribute to children working. EQ Management approached Traidcraft's Market Access Centre to assist them in the development and delivery of a series of regional workshops to build understanding and support for the use of best practice frameworks in managing child labour worldwide. Nali Sauces, Malawi  Nali Sauces Limited is a small chilli business being supported in Malawi by their local business development service provider, Business Consult Africa (BCA). BCA contracted us to organise a sales tour for Nali who were interested in exporting to the UK. The company was able to learn about the UK market, as well as receiving some small orders and setting a foundation for greater market penetration in the future. Cafédirect/Imani Enterprise, UK Cafédirect wanted to ensure maximum transparency within new trading relationships and support farmers in using the fair trade premium for the benefit of the local community. We developed a workshop for newly registered fair trade tea producers in Kenya and Uganda who needed to understand how the fair trade market operates and the economic benefits they will receive from fair trade, including the fair trade premium. UNICEF We facilitated orders for a range of giftware and fashion accessories which UNICEF sold through its mail order catalogue. Products were sourced from five southern fair trade businesses located in Nepal, Bangladesh, India and Peru, who received support throughout the design and product development process.
