Fair trade organisations
We offer services to fair trade organisations seeking to develop fair trade markets, provide high quality support to their suppliers and build internal market access capacity.
Fair trade clients include: Fairtrade Foundation (FTF) The Fairtrade Foundation is the UK labelling initiative of the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation (FLO). FTF are interested in identifying opportunities to develop new Fairtrade standards. The Market Access Centre has prepared two Preliminary Papers (one for palm oil and the second for jute) assessing the feasibility of developing standards in these areas. International Fair Trade Association (IFAT) IFAT, a global network of fair trade organisations, were interested in improving the access of low-income, disadvantaged producers to fair trade markets through the development of generic quality standards and a quality management system. Traidcraft's Market Access Centre undertook a value chain study with crafts producers from Africa, Asia and Latin America to inform this process.
