The land of earth, fire and ice, Chile is a stunningly beautiful and varied country. These tours give us a fascinating insight into Chile’s cultural and recent political history as well as experience of its amazing natural scenery.

We will travel from the capital, Santiago, to MiFruita to see raisins being produced and then to Lautaro's wine producers and then honey and blueberry producers at Apicoop.
Our journey through Chile and the communities we visit gives us a unique chance to meet the people behind the diverse products that Traidcraft sources here.

Meet the producers
Apicoop is Traidcraft's main supplier of Fairtrade honey. Chino Henriquez is the charismatic manager of the coop and is the current president of the FLO-Cert board. Chino is a frequent and welcome visitor to the UK and is a fantastic and passionate advocate for Fairtrade.
The beekeepers project in 1980 was originally part of a church project called Fundesval to support poor farmers during the Pinochet regime (1973-89) and Apicoop was created in 1997 by some of these beekeepers. In 2006 Traidcraft and Apicoop started a new project to produce dry honey-infused blueberries, which are already part of several products.
