Cuba Meet the People Tour

Colourful orchards, sandy beaches and vibrant towns provide a stunning backdrop to our journey around Cuba.

We will visit citrus farmers in Ciego de Avila, who supply Fruit Passion Juice, and learn how fair trade premiums are invested in collective projects by their cooperatives.

Visits to sites commemorating the revolution give an insight into Cuba's complex social history and there'll be plenty of opportunity to enjoy Cuba's lively artistic and musical scene.

Meet the producers

Two of the groups you will be visiting are CPA and CCS Jose MArti, which produce oranges for Fruit Passion juices which are sold in the UK.

The extra premium from fair trade enables the co-operatives to buy equipment and pay for much-needed repairs to allow farmers to increase production and improve farming practice.
