Northern Thailand Meet the People Tour

We will meet the craftsmen and women of Traidcraft's long-term suppliers, who draw on a remarkable heritage of craft techniques and styles to produce fine weaving, embroidered fabrics, bamboo baskets and silverware.

Travelling through stunning countryside, we will visit villages high in the mountains, ancient temples and sanctuaries, as well as development projects in the capital.

Meet the producers

One of the groups you will be visiting is Y Development, which has been exporting crafts to fair trade organisations since 1982. Y Development works with more than 50 producer groups and is also keen to promote environmental awareness and traditional skills.
