Greenbelt 2006
"Hands Up For Trade Justice" was the Traidcraft theme when we returned to Greenbelt last year.

Over the three days we invited people to join with our producer partners around the world in making their mark in support of trade justice.
These children are the children of workers at the Jute Works in Bangladesh who, for over 30 years, have made everything from linen baskets to the hanging baskets - the original iconic Traidcraft product in the 80s.
What happened at the event?
We were keen to have our own venue to show the variety and depth of the work that Traidcraft is involved with:
-
The Shoe Game perfectly illustrated how our charity Traidcraft Exchange work with groups teaching them market access skills
-
The Policy Unit invited over 1000 people to sign cards, which were delivered to Westminster, protesting about the introduction of Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs).
-
Paul Chandler, our Chief Exec took part in debates in the main talks tent
-
We had further sessions on how your church can engage with Traidcraft
and that's even before you start on the highly successful wine tasting, pub quiz, auction and music sessions.
