Also, teachers can now download free resources to help them take part in Fairtrade Fortnight 2012 and become one of the growing number of schools working towards or maintaining their Fairtrade School status.

The free Fairtrade Fortnight Schools Action Pack is available to download from the Traidcraft schools website and contains links to resources, games and activities to help teachers further their pupils’ understanding of fair trade.

Ideas include organising a school fair trade assembly using the Traidcraft assembly plan, holding a sponsored walk with fair trade refreshments at the end, or playing the Fairtrade Families game in class, which is based on the Happy Families game but features families from producer groups across the developing world.
