Spring 2012 fair trade range on sale now

Traidcraft’s stunning fair trade range for spring 2012 goes on sale today (1st February). It features beautifully handcrafted pieces from across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Each piece is unique – and each has its own story.

We offer the UK's widest selection of fair trade products, from homeware to stationery, and from jewellery to groceries. Beautiful blue pottery, made in Jaipur, Western India, makes a welcome return to our spring 2012 range.

Hand Painted Trinket Pots

Kamaluddin's PotteryThe Hand Painted Ceramic Trinket Pots (£7.50) are supplied through Aravali and made at a pottery run by Kamaluddin (pictured right). He says: "The depth of colour which you get in Jaipur pottery is not available in any other pottery that exists. For me every piece is a piece of art."

Bhanwari and Rai BanoBhanwari and Rai Bano (pictured left) work at Kamaluddin’s pottery. They live opposite each other and every evening they chat. Bhanwari says: “Of course I am happy. I am also contributing to something which is pretty.”

Traidcraft's fair trade garden range includes all the accessories you'll need this spring and summer. Made from natural terracotta in Bangladesh, the range includes the Bird & Bramble Plant Pot Set (£20), the Bird & Bramble Herb Pots (£12) and the Bird & Bramble Planter (£8).

These products are handmade at Corr The Jute Works in Bangladesh, where the workers, such as the woman below, whitewash the pots by hand.
