UK Government announces 12 million pound investment for Fairtrade on 15th Anniversary of the FAIRTRADE Mark
Traidcraft welcomes the UK Government’s £12 million financial commitment to help expand the benefits of Fairtade to over two million more farmers.
Paul Chandler, Traidcraft Chief Executive, said: "In these times when many producers in the developing world are facing food security issues and adverse climate effects, investment in Fairtrade is more important than ever.
"As a founding member of the Fairtrade Foundation we look forward to our continued close working with both the Foundation and the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation helping to ensure that small-scale and marginalized farmers continue to stay at the heart of Fairtrade."
