Congratulations to our Great North Run runners
A huge well done to all the 160 people who ran the Great North Run for Traidcraft Exchange. An excellent atmosphere and great weather conditions helped to make the day a success.
6 October 2008
Traidcraft's runners ranged in age from 17 through to 75. Amongst the runners were a team of four friends from Whitstable, Kent who ran in fancy dress. The men were inspired by their wives who ran in fancy dress last year. They summed up the event by writing on Traidcraft's comment board: "The Whitstable boys - running for trade where it matters. See you next year!" The first three Traidcraft runners over the finish line were Philip Probert with a time of 1:25, Ross Fletcher who finished in 1:26 and Steve Blake. The runners were welcomed in the Traidcraft marquee by Traidcraft staff and volunteers at the finish with a goody bag, drinks and a range of Traidcraft's fair trade snacks. A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who took part.
