North East Equality Award for Traidcraft

Baroness Prosser, Deputy Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, gave the keynote speech at a ceremony in Newcastle on Friday 19 September 2008 attended by over 300 people.

The Judges commented that Traidcraft had impressed them with their excellent all round practices including outstanding policies, training and support for staff.

Heather Thompson and Andy Smok collected the Award on behalf of all Traidcraft staff. Each Award was an individual piece of artwork designed by local artists.
